Your Guide to Private Debt Funds

Private Debt Funds are a compelling investment option for Sophisticated and Wholesale Investors seeking portfolio diversification and attractive risk-adjusted returns. Here, we’ll explore what Private Debt Funds are, how they operate, and why they could be a strategic addition to your investment portfolio.

What Are Private Debt Funds?

Private Debt Funds are often short-term investments in Stockwell’s residential, retail and commercial developments, where interest is either capitalised or paid throughout the term. They are also known as Mortgage Income Trusts, and they offer property diversity and a higher rate of returns.

Who Can Invest?

Wholesale and Sophisticated Investors have the opportunity to co-invest with Stockwell. You can do this through a range of vehicles, including your self-managed super fund, company, family trust, or directly as an individual.

Who Qualifies as a Wholesale or Sophisticated Investor?

To qualify, you need to satisfy the following criteria. Either invest at least $500,000 in a Trust or provide a certificate from a Qualified Accountant confirming you meet the minimum asset or income requirements set out in the Corporations Act. They include:

● Net assets of at least $2.5 million; or

● Gross annual income of $250,000 for each of the last two financial years
